20th May 2009 - Rin

Woke up at around 12+ in the afternoon after my sis called me saying she ending her class soon, so ask me to wake up and start preparing cause I am meeting her for lunch at Tiong Bahru Plaza. After meeting up with her, we decided to go for KFC cause I have the coupons, I was really unhappy with the cashier there, not only did she simply show me a black face as if I owe her a million bucks before I even order, when I am ordering she didn't sound very happy either, if she is so unhappy with her job maybe she should simply quit it instead of showing it to the customers.

After we finished our lunch, we went over to Pie Kia, this is my 2nd time there, I find the names they gave for their categories pretty interesting, they have ho lim for drinks, sho sho for soup, toa pie kia for the bigger versions of the pies as well as pie seh for the pies with sweet fillings (mango & Pear, jackfruit & dragonfruit as well as sweet corn). Think most people will think its very ah beng, but I myself find it very Singaporean and pretty interesting, came home after buying our pies and started mugging again. Didn't manage to finish a lot today cause I was feeling kind of bloated and constipated, hope I will get well real soon.

Our Pie Kias, P for Black Pepper Chicken, M for Mushroom Chicken, R for Roasted chicken and lastly H for ham & Cheese. There are other favours such as Curry Chicken, Sardine and Mexican as well. The Pie Kias aren't as heavy as the pies from other shops such as polar and on top of that it doesn't have the buttery smell that makes you feel "gelat" before even eating it. So guess there will be a 3rd and 4th time for me, should bring Randy there sometime, if you are interested you can give it a try too.

19th May 2009 - Rin

Randy came over to Queenstown to pick me up after his shift work at Pasir Laba Camp, we travel and went home together, spend the day at home and we went over to Toa Payoh for our late lunch, after thinking about it we decided to have our lunch at the Bubble Tea Shop at TPY Entertainment Center. Both of us ordered the 剪刀剪咖喱饭（Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice), cause at night I will still be having dinner while Randy will be having his class at Newton, so I gave him about 3/4 of my rice. After that we went over to NTUC to look for the titbits that I wanted, but they don't sell it at all, humph, but Randy bought me the Royal White Bread from Gardenia that I wanted to try. Afterwhich its home sweet home for me, and suntec and newton for Randy.

My curry rice, the chicken was tender but a little oily, the cabbage was nicely cooked, still crunchy and the curry was yummy as well.

The new Royal White bread from Gardenia, it's thicker and softer compare to the usual gardenia, the slices of bread has a very light hint of butter as well. But this is not cheap o... Its $2 for 5 slices.

17th May 2009 - Rin

Daddy woke me up early today, was up at 9 had breakfast as usual with my family. Accompany my mum to chinatown in the afternoon, went over to people park center to look for Swarovski beads for making handphone chain, and guess what I saw, I saw the bling bling pens that I had always wanted, it comes along with a free session where the pros will teach you how to go about doing it, but the sessions that they are organising is full and on top of that they don't sell the ready made pens, the girl was saying"these are for reference only, if you want it you have to sign up for the class", I am so 不爽 after she said the sentence, but another girl who is also working in the shop approach and said that actually they will be offering another course soon, so she can keep me updated and she even recommended the items that I might need if I am interested in doing myself at home, so in the end I bought 2 packs of swarovski crystals the glue and the magical pick.

These are the items that i bought: Swarovski Crystals in Light Rose and Crystal White, the Perfect Deco Glue which can also be used on fabric and nails and the magical pick.

After we are done with the crystals and beads, we went over to Ocean at People Park Complex to get cheap shampoos and daily essentials, Momma was asking was if I change the brand of my shampoo to Keratase, she said its a brand recommended by my hairstylist who is the brother-in- law of my momma's colleague. So I decided to give it a try so we bought 3 small bottles of it to give it a try first in case it is not suitable, and guess what, the small bottle itself is already $23 each, I almost fainted, but my momma keep saying it's a salon brand that's why its so expensive and we seriously bought the 3 bottles, on top of that we bought powder, lifebuoy body foam and my shaver refill. Most of the things there are much cheaper compare to outside, so next time if you guys are to pass by there, you can go there and have a look

13th May 2009 - Rin

Didn't do much today, was home in the morning, then met my sis for lunch, actually wanted the mini steamboat at rajah Inn but in the end decided on Ajisen Ramen instead, they are currently having a lunch promotion for 1 ramen and 1 side dish for $10.80++, but after looking at the variety that they are offering, I decided not to for the lunch promotion, so I chose a Kumamoto Ramen while my sis chose pork curry ramen. The side dishes we have are silver fish (not the one in the books) and white fish. I will be meeting my girls tomorrow to celebrate Cat's birthday, meeting lizzie to shop for the card as well as the a dairy free cake for our Miss Meow Meow, so I shall blog again tomorrow. Till then, Ciaoz...

My Kumamoto Ramen (熊本拉面), after ordering this then I realise my usual Volcano ramen is also in the same category, but there is no way I can call the waiter back to change it, by the way the service at the Tiong Bahru Branch is seriously horrible, I doubt I will go back to that branch again.

Pork Curry Ramen. The soup tasted like diluted watery kind of curry, I don't like it at all, but My sis seems to like it a lot because of the thinly sliced pork belly.

Fried White Fish, i think the fish today is kind of fishy, and i hate fish with all the fishy smell, so I don't like this either.

Fried Silver Fish, The sauce was very salty and sour, but the fish was crispy and nicely fried, think the next time I would order the fish without the sauce.

12th May 2009 - Rin

Wake up at around 1pm in the afternoon, finally got all the sleep that I needed but still feeling depress like yesterday. Didn't go for my F9 mock exam cause I couldn't finish studying yesterday after quarreling with daddy yesterday over some stupid lappie and tv problem, I kept crying and crying and crying last night. He came home at around 2 plus today and since I am not on talking terms with him, I locked myself up in my room studying for my F5 mock. Spent more than 2 hours on one stupid learning curve theory, dunno what's the problem with me, it so simple and yet I couldn't it out. Haiz, my sis came home at around 6 plus in the evening with a set of teeth that she made, everyone must be wondering why would she be making a set of teeth, the answer is she has to cause she is taking dental hygiene & therapy at NYP. Had lots of laughter after she came home, I was a little crazy making lots of funny funny noises. ok, guess i am done blogging. Till the next time, Ciaoz..

Mother's Day celebration part 2 on 10th of May - Rin

Ahhh... This morning when I woke up and i step on the floor for the first time today, I felt some pain on my right toe, I thought maybe I stepped on something, but as I sat down and check my feet, I found a huge blister (see the picture below), its really really huge, scary in fact, this is the biggest blister I had have in my life, wonder what has cause it.

Today being the actual day of mother's day, so my momma, sis and I went over to Ikea to have a meal, after the meal we went shopping around Ikea, we bought 2 cushions, a lint remover, chalks and some small storage boxes. After Ikea, we went over to charles & Keith outlet at anchor point cause momma wanted to get some footwear for work. After C & K, we went over to cold storage to get some chocolates for Aunt Fer as well a cake for mother's day, afterwhich we went over to aunt lin's place. Spent some time there searching for info for another trip to genting during June holidays as well as watch charlie & the chocolate factory with my cousin AGAIN, think this is the 3rd time we watched this show together. After the show ended we went on with celebration which cutting the cake and singing the Happy Birthday Song but changing it to Happy Mother's Day instead. Home Sweet Home after that.

Mother's Day Celebration Part 1 on 9th of May - Rin

Today is my family big feast day, Muahaha, I met up with most of my family members for a mother's day cum father's day dinner at Kuishinbo Great World City. Before that my sis & I met up 2 of my cousins and we went down earlier to buy some chocolate from the mamas as a memory of mother's day instead of just simply treating them for dinner. During dinner, all of us ate lots of alaska crabs and Tempura prawns, actually the daddies was caught by surprise that my cousins and I can eat so much despite being females (we ate from 5.30 to 9.30 non stop). All of us really enjoyed ourselves and there was really lots of laughter to the extend that 2 ladies from another table keep staring at us like we have done something wrong. But who cares, its our right to enjoy our dinner and do whatever we want, if they think that we are creating nuisance by being happy and laughing then maybe they should patronise another restaurant instead. Bacon and Mushroom Tonburi: For this dish, you have to try your luck, for my table, we had all the bacon with mushroom, but linda and the mamas tables had tomatoes instead of mushroom.

Premium Item of the day: Alaska Crab legs with some mayo thing, its not nice at all, the mayo is so hard it seems like u are biting plastic and the crab tasted really dry, both Joys and me would rather they offered us the bamboo clam that we had previously. This is such a disappointment.
