6th May 2009 - Rin

Went for F9 class in the morning, its a long class, all the foreign exchange risk and hedging is giving a bad headache. Went to Toa Payoh to meet up with my sis for lunch this afternoon, actually wanted the chicken cutlet curry rice from the bubble tea shop at Toa Payoh Entertainment Center, but after looking at the crowd, we decided to go for Swenson instead. Swenson is currently having a 1 for 1 promotion for ala carte food items till 30 June 2009, we ordered quite a lot of food, was really really very full after that, at the same time, we realise that we are eating very slowly as compare to other Singaporeans. A few tables that came in after us, finished their meal and left, while we were still eating. Wonder is it because they are rushing for time or we are really that slow. After lunch, went over to Popular to get my correction fluid while juan bought her jolin disc and a highlighter, came home after that.

Swenson ice water cup is getting really small compare to previously, but it comes with the water flask as you can see above, wonder why they would implement the flask system, could it be due to the H1N1?

Treasure Island Hunt: It's mainly Root beer float.. Hahaha...

Juan's Ice Chocolate: It's very light not too sweet, hmmm... i think it tasted like cadbury instand chocolate drink with chocolate ice cream.

Spic N Chic ($7.90): At first I thought this appetizer will be spicy, but it wasn't, the chicken thigh was crispy & juicy not too dry and the flavouring was just nice as well, not too salty. Heart this dish.

Deep Fried Mushroom ($5.90): I thought it will be button mushroom, so I was a little disappointed when I saw it was shitake. The mushroom was fried with bread crumbs so it is a little oily, at the same time, its a little dry, not juicy as I had expected, so this dish was a disappointment.

My all time favourite, Salmon and Mushroom Baked Rice ($12.20): Egg fried Rice top with salmon, shitake mushroom and cheese. Thinking of it makes me drools. Heez, this dish is also Randy's favourite as well, but I think for today, the dish is a little too salty, especially the salmon.

Juan's Chicken in a Jacket ($13.90) : 3 piece batter fried chicken with potato salad and seasonal vegetables. The chicken was quite juicy while the batter is very crispy, however, the potato salad was kind of a disappointment.

5th May 2009 - Rin

Went for my final F7 class in the morning, starting to feel the exam stress, Heez... Met up with liz after my morning class, we went for lunch and shopping, we are suppose to look around for cat's birthday card, her dairy free cake and fake eyelashes for cat's party. But in the end, we sidetracked and went around looking for dresses instead, haha, saw a nice dress at fox, liz likes it too, but its far to expensive, the material is simply just denim but it cost $73. Kept wondering since when did Fox became so expensive. After walking around for sometime both of us are kind of craving for yami yogurt so we walked downwards to meridien, I had a small mango yogurt will liz had a medium one. When we reached PS I decided that I should buy some yogurt home, cause my sis is a person who doesn't like fruits, so thought some yogurt will be good for her. Didn't really think she will be interested, but in the end, both of us manage to finish the whole take home pack. Muahahaha.

Topping for our yogurt: Actually wanted granola, but don't think my sis will like it, so decided to get banana nut crunch instead.

Our Yummy yami yogurt (Mango), I wanted to get blueberry but my sis hates blueberry. Randy must be thinking I pampered her too much again. Muahahaha.

3rd May 2009 - Rin

Spend the day at home today, didn't do much, study for about 3 hours from 8pm to 11pm but I only manage to complete 1 chapter, wonder if 1 month will be enough for me to prepare for 4 exams papers, starting to really really feel the stress. On top of the stress I have a lot of mixed feelings today, feeling happy because we have finally decided on the date that my family will be going for Kuishinbo to celebrate both mother's and father's day. Feel sad because Randy will be going for his reservist and I kept feeling like he will away for a very long time, but in actual fact I will be meeting him on the 16th for his birthday, but he doesn't seem enthusiastic about it, think all guys are like that. Today, my sis cooked a dished with simple portabello mushroom, butter and red & white cheddar. Although it's really easy to make, it tasted fantastic, think i might wanna try making it for Randy the next time. Till then, Ciaoz...

Tomorrow i shall be going back to army for my reservist. spending some time there to upload the pictures and video which i didnt. :p

This was the burger me and gull taste-tested. super-disappointed. the onion werent crunchy at all. the burger is smaller. everything just isnt rite. damn. if it wasnt for my policy of not wasting food. i would have thrown it on the floor and stepped on it. in the middle of the restaurant. in front of everyone there.


Despite going for sushi buffet with boon and ray in the afternoon, went with my family for dinner then a visit to cousin don's house.

2nd May 2009 - Rin

Went over to Randy's place today in the morning, spent 2/3 of my day there, most of the time we were both sleeping. Hahaha, I brought mashed potato over for Randy's mum cause she kind of liked the version I made previously. I took a picture of Randy sleeping while I was playing Restaurant City and Pet Society.

I think he looks like a baby having a sweet dream while he is sleeping today, so cute hor?

Daddy finally decided to cooked laksa after buying the laska paste about 2 month back. Think he consider it a failure cause there wasn't enough gravy and it didn't really tasted like laksa to me, but I finished it all, guess it's because its something that Daddy cooked for all of us, felt the love and effort that he had put it into the cooking.

Laksa without the gravy, there are thick bee hoon, fishcakes, shrimps and scallops which is at the bottom of the bowl.

I know it doesn't look like laksa and it looks dry, but I finished it.

Anyway, Everyone bakerzin is having a new promotion for May after they April's cupcake promo, this month their chocolate Amer with only be at half price, Being a chocolate lover, guess I found a place that I wanna go to next week, Liz be prepared, we are going to bakerzin again.

1st May 2009 - Rin

Finally I didn't have class today which is a Public Holiday, I am so happy, hahaha, woke up at around 11, then daddy drove us all to a coffee shop near SGH for yong tau foo, I loved the yong tau foo there cause you can have it serve with the fishball noodle kind of mee pok instead of the normal yellow noodles, bee hoon or kway teow with all the sweet sauce and chilli. I didn't catch the location of the place but I do know that it is a block beside a singh temple near jalan bukit merah. Haha.. After brunch, daddy drove us to Bukit Merah central NTUC Fairprice for grocery shopping. Yeah... daddy decided to cook today, its another home cooked meal, told Daddy I am craving for mashed potato as well, so we bought the ingredients for it on top of things we needed for dinner.

I realise after we are finished with level 1 (Fresh and Non Food section) of grocery shopping, all we took was fruits and vegetables, which has never happen to our family cause both my sis and I are meat lovers. Hmmm... Wonder what has happen to us today...

Hahaha, Labour day and its the day i chose to do some work ard my room.

Fixed up the PC again with the mainboard i didnt throw away. seems to be working well now. Did some vaccuuming ard the room also. and changed the bedsheets.

Lots of things happened over the past week so will try to blog what i can remember.

Bought the LEGO cannon battle. Some collecters will say to wait for sale, but i think like some other collecters, we'll say good luck to them. for good sets, its going to be hard for them to have stock til the sale period come. how do you define what's a good set? to me, the number of minifigs matters alot. minifig refer to the "human" in the set. Unlike gachapons, PVA figures or figma/nendoroid, LEGO is very collectible. once you miss a certain LEGO set, its going to be very hard to wait for a re-issue. Figma and nendoroids re-issue quite refrequently to meet market demands thus reducing its value.

Was also very caught up in the game Civony. currently i'm 60th in the server, my rank when i just joined was 6000+

Completed the full set of new mystery eggs for Pet Society and now saving money to stock up on the this-week-special items.

Sort of gave up playing Restaurant City. had already hit the max level. currently just logging in daily to collect ingrediants.

Studied for my M9 insurance paper. flunked it. mark range 81-87, i need a 88 to pass. damn. miss by abit. when i told kok wah, he just asked when i wanna try again? i say next week's my reservist, so wanna clear it before i do anything else.

Driving wise, will be trying to book for 6th june.
